About Tom PowersHello there, My name is Tom, your friendly Host of TheWARCAST, a Warhammer Online Podcast. I am a first year in college majoring in Business Management with a minor in both Communications and Film Cinematography. I am laid back guy that enjoys the outdoors and hanging with his fam. So lets cut to the chase! I am starting TheWARCAST for many reasons, some a little more personal than others. But the main motive that drove me to start this was negativity. Every time I log on to WAR and play there is someone complaining on guild chat or even the "Advice" channel about Warhammer Online. A game that I still love and enjoy despite public criticism towards EA Mythic. I always was intrigued by Podcast and Radios, if it be Glenn Beck or Scott and Randy from "The Instance". They always did and still do a fantastic job at saying everything how it is. My whole life I always sat back in my comfort zone and never took action for change. I always thought someone else is doing it I don't have to. Which usually came true. But I think it has been too long without a couple middle-men between EA Mythic and the Warhammer Online Player base. I left Retail WoW to play Warhammer Online in late 2008. The community was a bash! Unlike any MMORPG Player base I've ever seen. However, it the past several months EA Mythic has been haunted by quite a few hardships. Quarter losses, laid off workers, hardware problems, etc. You all know. But it seems to me there has been no true effort for players and EA Mythic to get a better understanding from each others perspective. That's why TheWARCAST came along. I want and encourage listeners to give me opinions that we can discuss and talk about on a large scale. Your opinions publicly broad-casted and dissected can have an immense impact on the Warhammer Online Community! It is my expectation and hope that TheWARCAST can be a reliable and accurate tool EA Mythic can use for public opinion regarding content, WAR classes, RvR, and all other in-game functionalities. I welcome all players to listen and send their opinions to our feed. We need Public Opinion and EA Mythic needs it the most. I hope that TheWARCAST Podcast can one day eventually lead to the renewal of a more positive and upbeat fan base that was soaring not too long ago. Followers
